I suppose I should introduce myself under this topic as a "belt and suspenders" type of person who currently has a total of three (3) licensed backup software packages available. Reflect is my "primary" and, for many reasons, is the only one that I have actually installed under my Win7/8.1 multiboot set-up at present. But it and all of the others are selectively accessible in my WinPE boot environments.

My own experience would suggest that Reflect's overall performance level compares quite well with any of the others. The recent changes (introduced in v5.2.6504) do seem to have helped significantly, although the 30% claim may be debatable in individual circumstances. YMMV as is usually the case with any such performance issues.

As Seekforever points out, results are highly dependent on hardware and on its connectivity arrangements. If it's raw speed you're after, the best set-up in my own experience has been a chassis with built-in swappable SATA3 drive bays, followed closely by a good eSATA connection. So far as I'm concerned, USB3 just doesn't live up to expectations in most cases ... not yet, at least.

Regards, Richard
