Dell have changed the partitioning on the Venue 8 Pro from 6 partitions to 4 partitions (including the MSR partition) since that time Macrium Reflect fails to image correctly.
Everything appears to have been imaged correctly, ie Macrium does not show any error messages however upon re-boot the device attempts to repair start-up errors and fails to do so displaying a message stating that the EFI/Microsoft/Boot/BCD file is missing or corrupted.
I have tried various combinations from the image inc.
OS partition only with no MBR repair
OS partition only with MBR repair
Whole hard drive (excluding MSR partition) with no MBR repair
Whole hard drive (excluding MSR partition) with MBR repair
EFI Partition & OS partition with no MBR repair
EFI Partition & OS partition with MBR repair
Format HD, re-create partitions, image with no MBR repair
Format HD, re-create partitions, image with MBR repair
Rebuilding the BCD file
copying the BCD file from backup
none of the above resolve the problem.
Any help please would be appreciated as Dell have been no use at all.
Regards
