To answer your question you'll want to clone your complete hard drive to your new SSD.
Insure you data does not exceed the amount of space you have on the new SSD unused space doesn't count.
You could also create an Image of your entire hard drive and then restore it to your new SSD.
Its best to create your recovery media USB DVD will work but very slow.
After creating your restore media be sure to make sure it boots, Let MR load you don't have to change anything since your only testing that it boots
