I'm afraid that Incremental and Differential images created with v4.x of Macrium Reflect cannot be shrunk. This functionality was added in v5.
As a workaround, you could restore the 'D' partition first, create an image of the restored partition with v5, then restore 'C' followed by the newly created v5 image of 'D'. This could then be shrunk without a problem.
