[Information] VSS Error: 0x80042318 - Failed to Cr

Hi,

Just thought I would share a solution I had to this error.

Tried to do a complete system image ~ 2 HD's ~ 4 Partitions
Windows XP - SP3 all updates.

Received this error for all partitions.
"VSS Error: 0x80042318 - Failed to Create Volume Snapshot"

The only thing I had done since last image @ 1 week ago
was to update MS Office from 2003(yes old) to Office 2010.

Some Googling using Event Log ID's led me to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907574 (say's only for XP)

I found a registry entry for the previous version of "Visio"
Deleted the sub-key, re-booted, restarted Macrium no more errors. :)
