Error on a scheduled backup

This error indicates a failure to either communicate the freeze/thaw VSS cycle with one of the databases or your transactions logs or checkpoint file have failed integrity checks.

Please try restarting the Microsoft Exchange information Store service, this will force database dismount/mount with log file replay and reset of any VSS state flags.

If the above does not resolve the situation then a reboot of the server may be required in order to reset VSS state.

If the issue still occurs after server reboot then you will need to manually check the integrity of database files using eseutll, please see the following Microsoft KB for further help:
