Macrium Reflect uses Microsoft Volume Shadow copy Service (VSS) to create a crash consistent snapshot for File backups and disk images. Unlike MS SQL, Firebird is not VSS aware and does not participate in the VSS snapshot process. This means that if a database transaction was not complete at the time of the backup initialization then there is a chance that the database will be corrupt.
Please note that this also affects Acronis and all other backup software that uses VSS.

You'll need to stop the database service for the duration of the snapshot process. Please see here for information on how to do this:
