If I understand your question correctly the answer is yes. If you want to browse the files within a Reflect Archive Reflect needs to be installed.

There is an option available in the emergency boot disk to do this, but for testing I just tried the option and was unable to get it to work. I'm not sure if it's supposed to work or has been disabled when booting from the PE media. It acts like it works when I go through the process, but in the end there's no drive letter associated with the archive file. And when I try to disconnect the image file from the drive letter Reflect PE doesn't show any images are attached to drive letters.

Thanks a lot,
if you have a look at my post herehttp://support.macrium.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6176, you will be understand that CD rescue doesn't let a user open an image or file backup, although there is an option availabel. I really have tried that, even when I created the Rescue CD, there was no option to enabling or disabling image or file backup in windows explorer.
